The work has begun.

We were finally forced to give up W's stimulus money to replace our rotting roof. I did so enjoy seeing that money in my account though. I wrote the largest check I have ever written yesterday and handed it to our contractor. He rolled it up and put it in his sock. In his defense, I don't think he had any pockets at the time.

Now, let's just hope that loan goes through so we can pay for the rest...
